This guide will show you how to replace the whole Cleaning Head in the Roomba 880, which houses the Debris Extractors. Let's do it!

    • Flip the Roomba over, wheel-side up.

    • Using a Phillips #1 screwdriver, loosen the four 15 mm screws illustrated. Two are located on the battery door, while two are on the bottom panel.

    • Remove the battery door, pulling straight up from the two indents above the screws.

    • Using a flat head screwdriver, loosen the screw on the top of the side brush.

    • Remove side brush.

    • The bottom panel cannot be removed without first removing the side brush, so make sure to do this first.

    • Pull up on the bottom panel to remove.

    • Reach underneath the dust bin, press the bin removal button, and pull out.

    • The bin removal button is located on the top edge of the bin.

    • Using a Phillips #1 screwdriver, remove the four 10 mm screws shown.

    • Remove the cleaning head by grabbing the two protruding tabs as shown, and pulling straight up.
